Our practice provides services across each pillar and support function of the enterprise including R&D, manufacturing, commercial, and business development to strategy, finance, IT and HR. We work across a range of life sciences disciplines including clinical development, market access, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), commercial strategy and operations, pricing and reimbursement, patient services, medical affairs, and therapeutic area-focused initiatives spanning biopharma, specialty pharma, medtech, diagnostics, and emerging life sciences companies.
How you will contribute
As a consultant on our team, you will work on the most interesting and challenging problems in the Life Sciences industry. Projects may involve analyzing pharmaceutical pipelines, conducting interviews with key players, creating data-driven insights, crafting compelling presentations, and streamlining workflows.
You will be part of a team that is passionate about, and known for, delivering transformational changes to the healthcare continuum. We are a group of entrepreneurial, action-and results-oriented professionals who take a hands-on approach to solving our clients’ problems and helping them reach their full potential.
You may develop growth strategies that fuel expansion, explore adjacent markets, and identify untapped opportunities. Help clients understand their competitive edge and profitability across product lines. Craft pricing and reimbursement strategies that consider customer value, patient needs, cost structures, market dynamics, and product lifecycles. Evaluate business and operating models for growing product lines. Support M&A activity through due diligence and post-merger integration. Identify and mitigate risks across all aspects of the business. Partner with private equity clients to assess investments and support portfolio companies. Lead turnarounds for pharma, biotech, medtech, and life sciences service companies.
At A&M Life Sciences, the type of project you work on varies with current market challenges and customer needs, keeping you at the forefront of life sciences expertise and development. Our work spans a broad range of life sciences challenges, and consultants may have opportunities to support engagements involving clinical development, market access, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), pricing and reimbursement, medical affairs, patient services, commercial strategy, and therapeutic area-specific initiatives. The variety of our work creates opportunities to build expertise across multiple functions and areas of the life sciences industry.
Qualifications
Proven Problem-Solvers with Deep Life Sciences Expertise
At this level, you'll be a strategic consultant with a minimum of three years of experience tackling complex challenges within the life sciences sector. Exposure to areas such as clinical development, market access, HEOR, commercial strategy, pricing and reimbursement, medical affairs, patient services, or specific therapeutic areas is beneficial but not required. We're looking for intellectually curious professionals who are eager to deepen their expertise while helping clients solve complex business challenges. You're a quick study, able to seamlessly integrate into ongoing projects and drive impactful results.

Compensation Statement:
The following are the annual base salary ranges, commensurate with experience: Associate $90-120k, and Senior Associate: $130-160k. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
Benefits Summary:
Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k)-retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part-time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
