Responsibilities
- Lead outdoor educational activities, games, and nature explorations that promote environmental awareness and curiosity
- Supervise campers during all camp activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports childhood development, social skills, and teamwork
- Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and clear expectations
- Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents
- Collaborate with fellow staff to plan daily schedules, special events, and themed activities
- Foster an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and individual needs, including those of children with special education requirements
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp programs is highly desirable
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to lead outdoor activities safely while encouraging participation and teamwork
- Background in early childhood education or childhood development is a plus
- Passion for outdoor education, sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling is welcomed but not required
