About This Role
We're a CDL truck driving school in Mesa, AZ. We train career-changers to earn their commercial driver's license and land jobs driving locally, regionally, and over-the-road.
We're hiring an Enrollment Specialist to own our lead response and enrollment process. You'll be the first point of contact for people looking to change their career — answering calls, reaching out to new leads, and guiding prospects through enrollment.
This is a phone-heavy, follow-up-heavy, computer-heavy role. If you're great on the phone, organized, and genuinely enjoy helping people make a big decision, keep reading.
Your Mission
Make sure no lead is ignored, forgotten, or left without a next step.
You'll handle incoming calls and reach out to roughly 20–30 leads per day, helping each one understand their options and move forward when our school is the right fit.
Main Responsibilities
- Answer every inbound call during business hours
- Return missed calls quickly — same day, no exceptions
- Reach out to 20–30 leads per day by phone, text, and email
- Follow up with voicemails, web leads, old leads, and undecided prospects
- Schedule and confirm tours
- Explain CDL programs clearly and professionally
- Help prospects understand payment options, workforce grant funding, and enrollment requirements
- Start and organize enrollment paperwork
- Update CRM after every call or interaction
- Keep every lead organized with a status and next follow-up date
- Send follow-up texts and emails
- Prepare daily lead reports for management
- Escalate special cases to management — refunds, grant questions, unusual payment requests, compliance issues, or sensitive student situations
Skills & Requirements
Great communication skills are essential. You'll be talking to prospects all day — by phone, text, and email. You need to be clear, warm, professional, and genuinely good at listening and explaining.
You must also be comfortable working with multiple computer systems all day. You should be comfortable with:
- CRM systems
- Phone / VOIP software
- Google Sheets, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar
- Text and email follow-ups
- PDFs and online forms
- Multiple browser tabs simultaneously
- Typing notes while speaking on the phone
- Basic AI tools (such as ChatGPT or similar) for drafting, research, and day-to-day efficiency
You do not need to be a programmer. But if you are slow with computers or dislike working in systems, this role is not a good fit.

- Familiar with basic AI tools and willing to use them to work smarter
- Organized with many leads at once
- Comfortable with repetitive daily follow-up without losing focus
