We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service, with a keen ability to enhance the dining experience through effective communication and attention to detail. This role requires a strong understanding of food service operations, including menu knowledge, food safety practices, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to assist guests in making informed choices.
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with cash handling procedures, including processing payments accurately.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is REQUIRED.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar systems is advantageous.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
