Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on RV electrical systems, including troubleshooting wiring issues, circuit failures, and system malfunctions using automotive electrical systems knowledge.
- Conduct repairs on RV plumbing systems, including leaks, blockages, and system maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
- Service and repair mechanical components such as transmissions, shocks & struts, suspension systems, brakes, and HVAC units to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and general vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy-duty components with precision, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with RV assembly or equipment repair projects as needed to support customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless workflow.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or service technician background with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Extensive electrical experience including RV electrical system diagnostics and electrical repair techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge covering automotive repair fundamentals such as brake repair, transmission work, shocks & struts replacement, and suspension adjustments.
- Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair for RVs along with HVAC troubleshooting and repairs.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting procedures.
- Experience with automotive body repairs or welding is a plus; familiarity with alignment procedures is beneficial.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to vehicle troubleshooting and basic vehicle troubleshooting tasks.
