Field Foreman, Ironworker
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma preferred
- Basic Math Skills
- Ability to read and understand a tape measure.
- Knowledge and general understanding of construction blue prints
- Ability to layout metal components such as structural members, stairways and catwalks with railings, tanks, transitions, and piping.
- Capacity to use metal forming and welding equipment.
- Basic welding skills in SMAW, GMAW and FCAW
- Ability to communicate and work well with coworkers and supervisors.
- Have the ability to identify and resolve problems.
- Understand the importance of safety in the workplace.
- Supervise, lead, evaluate and train employees
- Accurately track, record, and approve time entries for all crew members, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely submission for payroll processing.

Job Goal: We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Field Foreman to lead construction projects on-site with enthusiasm and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, supervise crews, ensure safety compliance, and maintain project schedules. Your leadership will drive project success by coordinating resources, managing quality standards, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety protocols such as OSHA standards.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and workforce to ensure project milestones are met.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide onsite work.
- Oversee quality control measures to ensure work meets specifications and standards.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure proper use of site equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, etc.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, safety incidents, and project updates.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop schedules and resource plans aligned with client requirements.
- Applicants must have experience in some of the following trades: welding, rigging, and industrial installations.
- Position requires mechanical abilities and field experience
- Position requires out of town travel
- Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Applicants must be strong leaders who are self-motivated and have good communication skills
Experience:
- Welding: 5 years (Required)
- Field Installation: 2 year (Preferred)
- Employee Supervision 2 Years (Preferred)
