The Assistant Middle School Girls Volleyball Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the volleyball program while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and student-athlete development. The assistant coach will help create a positive and competitive environment that supports the academic and athletic success of all student-athletes.

Assist the Head Coach with planning and conducting practices and matches

Help teach volleyball fundamentals, offensive and defensive strategies, and skill development

Supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, travel, and team activities

Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and character among players

Assist with organizing equipment, uniforms, and inventory

Support communication with players, parents, school staff, and administration

Help monitor student-athlete academic progress and behavior

Ensure compliance with school, district, and athletic conference rules and policies

Assist with match preparation, scouting, and player evaluations

Attend coaches’ meetings, trainings, and school athletic events as requested

Maintain a safe and positive environment for all student-athletes

Previous volleyball coaching and/or playing experience preferred

Ability to work effectively with middle school students

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and game management

Must meet all district and state coaching requirements, including background checks and certifications

Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes

Demonstrate professionalism and strong sportsmanship at all times

Build positive relationships with players, families, staff, and officials

Support the mission and values of the school athletic program
