Job Description:
This position prioritizes it's responsibilities around the demand of service requests received from our customers regarding Marvin brand windows and doors and will involve all responsibilities from beginning to end of service requests. "Home Base" for this position will likely be at the Newfane location of WW Building Supply but will involve service and sales from both of our locations and their surrounding areas (Newfane, VT and Wilmington, VT). Hours are flexible as the candidate hired will be responsible for scheduling service appointments, however working hours should fall between the open business hours of 7am to 5pm on Monday through Friday or 8am to 4pm on Saturday based on customer availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive or identify requests for service
- Schedule site visits for customers requesting service
- Travel to service sites (must have valid Driver’s License), travel will be with the company owned service van
- Properly identify all issues at each service request
- Determine if the issue(s) noted are a warranty issue, factory defect, or other
- Order any and all needed Marvin components to complete each service request
- Properly install repair components
- Lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance
- Maintain inventory of repair parts and tools
- Complete and maintain paperwork for any payment processing, customer records, Marvin ordering, etc. - This will require the use of a Windows computer, our Point of Sale system, Google Suite and Marvin OMS program
- Effectively interact with customers, contractors, Marvin representatives, and store personnel
- Support sales staff in the store as an inside sales role when there are no pertinent tasks due for completing service requests

- Construction/Window and Door installation: 3 years
- Customer Service: 3 years (Preferred)
- Building Materials: 3 years (Preferred)
- POS (Point-of-Sale) Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
Scheduling and Compensation:
- Schedule:
- 40 hr work week with priority on scheduled service appointments, then in store sales and support outside of service demand
- Schedule will be 8 hours per day x 5 days per week but exact hours each day can be determined with management upon hiring
- Scheduling for service appointments will fall on the Marvin Service Technician and will be based on the demand of service requests
- With some service requests, Marvin may need to provide their own technician(s) for assistance and scheduling would also need to be coordinated with with their technician(s)
- Expected hours for service will range from 10 to 30 hours, with remainder to be inside the store supporting sales
- Paid time will include travel to service locations for inspection, measuring, consultation, product/part ordering, and digital completion of service requests, training and other in store tasks at both the Newfane and Wilmington locations
- Starting Pay: $25.00/hr
- Overtime: Not applicable for this position
