A remote Pharmacist opportunity awaits in a clinical call center setting focused on Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and consulting. This position offers a 14-week contract with the potential for direct hire, working Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM.

Responsibilities:
- Review prescriptions for therapeutic interchanges to ensure optimal medication use
- Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and legally
- Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns
- Ensure medication supplies comply with legal regulations
- Verify that prescribed medicines are appropriate for patients
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files
- Advise patients on medication usage, potential reactions, and answer related questions
- Provide consultations on prescription and OTC medications, including storage, dosage, side effects, and interactions
- Offer patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management
- Educate patients on the use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
- Compound medications for external or internal use when necessary
- Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with healthcare providers
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacy interns to coordinate patient care
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Active Texas pharmacy license
- Strong clinical background in pharmacy practice
- Experience in clinical consulting and MTM preferred
