Thomas Sign & Awning in Clearwater, Florida, creates brands that get businesses noticed and tower over the competition. We are looking for an experienced Prepress Production Artist to join our design department.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Digital Prepress / Production Artist to join our production team. This position is responsible for preparing digital files for output on our EFI UV large format printer. Other responsibilities will include preparing vinyl cut files for the plotter and basic router files for our CNC machines. The successful candidate will also be cross-trained in printer operation and serve as a backup operator when needed.
Candidates must possess the following:

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.

CorelDraw experience is acceptable, provided the candidate can become proficient with Adobe software in a reasonable timeframe

Experienced in sign production or other areas of the visual graphics industry

Experience using industry standard sign production software such as Enroute, Flexi, or similar applications

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Must be able to utilize and read standard measuring equipment

Willingness to learn additional aspects of the sign manufacturing and production process
Preferred Qualifications

Experience operating large-format digital printers

Experience preparing CNC router files

Understanding of vinyl cutting, digital printing, and sign fabrication processes
Job Type: Full-time position in our Clearwater location. Remote work is not available.
