Distinctive Restoration is looking for an experienced Water Damage Technician / Crew Chief who already knows the restoration industry and can lead water mitigation projects with minimal supervision.
This is not an entry-level position.
We're looking for someone who can arrive on Day One and confidently:
- Lead a water mitigation project
- Set up containment and drying equipment
- Complete moisture mapping and documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Train helper technicians
- Produce quality work that insurance companies expect

What You'll Be Doing
As our Lead Water Damage Technician, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing residential and commercial water losses
- Performing emergency mitigation services
- Moisture mapping and psychrometric readings
- Daily moisture monitoring
- Equipment setup and removal
- Documentation in restoration software
- Photo documentation
- Customer communication
- Training helper technicians
- Maintaining company vehicle and equipment
- Coordinating with office staff and project managers
What We're Looking For
We are specifically seeking someone with:
- 2+ years of water mitigation experience
- Experience leading jobs independently
- Knowledge of drying principles and psychrometrics
- Moisture meter experience
- Equipment setup experience
- Strong documentation skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners and insurance professionals
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications
- IICRC WRT Certification
- ASD Certification
- AMRT Certification
- Experience with Encircle, DASH, MICA, XactAnalysis, or similar restoration software
Compensation & Benefits
- $23–$32/hour based on experience (Depending on experience and certifications)
