Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments with precision
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, desserts, and specialty cocktails to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is essential; fine dining experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and guest relations expertise
- Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management and organizational skills
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling sales transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is appreciated
