Red Elm Psychotherapy is a growing specialty psychology practice seeking a licensed psychologist with an interest in perinatal mental health, OCD, and anxiety disorders to join our collaborative team.
We are looking for a clinician interested in developing a sustainable specialty caseload, with the opportunity to grow toward a larger caseload if desired.
We are expanding our perinatal mental health services due to increasing demand from clients seeking specialized care for concerns including perinatal OCD, postpartum anxiety, intrusive thoughts, pregnancy-related anxiety, high-risk pregnancy, and pregnancy after loss.
This role is ideal for a psychologist who values thoughtful, evidence-based treatment and wants to build expertise in a specialty area while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy of private practice.
No prior ERP experience is required. We provide training, consultation, and support for clinicians who are interested in developing expertise in OCD treatment and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

About the Position
Licensed Psychologist (1099 Independent Contractor)
Location: Vienna, VA (Hybrid: Telehealth + Optional In-Person)
Start Date: Fall 2026
We are seeking a psychologist who is excited to provide specialized care for clients experiencing OCD and perinatal anxiety.
The clinician who joins Red Elm will have the opportunity to:
- Develop a specialty caseload focused on OCD, ERP, and perinatal mental health
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to motivated clients seeking specialized care
- Receive ongoing consultation and mentorship from experienced OCD and perinatal clinicians
- Build a flexible private practice with the support of an established team
- Work autonomously while remaining connected to a collaborative clinical community
Compensation & Practice Support
Clinicians receive a percentage split of our $250 private-pay session fee, with compensation ranging from:
$112.50–$137.50 per clinical hour
Compensation is based on clinical experience, specialty expertise, and alignment with practice needs.
As a 1099 independent contractor, clinicians have flexibility and autonomy over their schedules and clinical workload.

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a licensed psychologist who:
- Holds an active psychology license in Virginia (or is eligible for Virginia licensure)
- Values evidence-based, specialized clinical care
- Enjoys working with motivated clients
- Is interested in developing expertise in OCD, ERP, and perinatal anxiety
- Approaches clinical work with curiosity, compassion, and humility
- Values collaboration while also appreciating autonomy
Experience with OCD, ERP, or perinatal mental health is welcomed but not required. We are especially interested in clinicians who are excited to deepen their skills in these areas.
Preference may be given to clinicians with PSYPACT authorization or eligibility.

Red Elm Psychotherapy was founded by Dr. Niles Cook and Dr. Erin Cook, licensed psychologists who share a commitment to specialized, evidence-based care.
Dr. Niles Cook brings extensive expertise in OCD treatment and ERP, including previous work directing training at a specialty OCD clinic and supervising clinicians in evidence-based OCD treatment.
Dr. Erin Cook is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional specializing in perinatal OCD, postpartum anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and anxiety during pregnancy. She is passionate about expanding access to specialized perinatal mental health care.
Together, they provide consultation, mentorship, and operational support so clinicians can focus on providing excellent therapy.
