Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing financial processes for a portfolio of entities, ensuring compliance with accounting and industry regulations. This role will be involved in monthly financial reporting, daily financial transactions, vendor communications, customer billing & collections, and will assist in other essential accounting activities to support financial decision-making and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

Detail-Oriented Analytical Diligent Accurate Precise Sincere
Key Responsibilities:
Cash Management:
- Weekly management and assessment of cash across a portfolio of companies and bank accounts.
- Compare payable listings to cash availability to determine payments released weekly
- Reconcile bank accounts to cash listing, identify and solve discrepancies
- Record complex intercompany transactions across the portfolio as well as international currencies using daily exchange rates
Financial Reporting:
- Produce monthly financial reports for a portfolio of entities, adhering to industry standards and reporting deadlines. This includes accruals, prepaids, deferred income review, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L review.
- Identify and explain financial variances
- Communicate with project managers as well as the finance team to guide month end close process
Accounts Receivable & Collections:
- Oversee and manage collections efforts, adhering to established company collection procedures.
- Work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and disputes.
- Present aged receivable reports to project managers with strong understanding of customer collection efforts and relationships
- Collaborate with internal project management team to create and send customer invoices from sales orders.
- Respond to client inquiries on open balances, which may include negotiating payment plans. Vendor & Banking Communication:
- Liaise with vendors regarding outstanding invoices and coordinate payments to maintain positive relationships
- Communicate with banking partners regarding treasury functions and cash management needs.
- Produce required reporting to bank, including a monthly Borrowing Base Report
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Required)
- 3+ years of experience in accounting with experience in financial reporting; construction or manufacturing (Preferred)
- Excel proficiency (Required)
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Experience with business banking platforms (Preferred)
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- High attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective collections and vendor management.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
