Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time employee to join the fireplace installation and service team. This role blends mechanical, construction, and customer service responsibilities, and the ideal candidate will demonstrate an aptitude for all three. This position offers interesting work in a variety of settings, the chance to show off your craftsmanship, and the pride that comes with working on beautiful, high-quality projects.
This is generally a day-time, weekday position with evenings, weekends, and major holidays off.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Servicing gas, electric and wood burning stoves and fireplaces
- Troubleshooting gas valves, pilot assemblies, and electrical components
- Setting fireplaces & freestanding stoves
- Running chimney pipes through walls or roofs
- Framing walls
- Installing brick, stone, hearths and mantels
Skills & Qualifications
- Quality workmanship
- Strong organizational skills
- Good customer service skills, friendly and courteous
- Motivated and disciplined self-starter
- Reliable with a good attendance record
- Cooperative, team-player attitude
- Valid Driver's License
- This is a physically active position and requires the ability to climb ladders, bend and kneel for long periods of time
We will train qualified applicants; however, experience in any of the following construction trades is helpful:
- HVAC
- Carpentry
- Masonry
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Flooring Installation (carpet, tile, hardwood)
