Overview
Pearson Engineering is a small, Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) engineering firm located in Madison, WI. We provide design, commissioning, and analysis services to commercial, industrial, educational, and healthcare clients. We are looking for someone to work alongside our licensed engineers assisting with production of design drawings, field verification of existing buildings, HVAC load calculations, energy modeling, and system analysis.
Duties
- Field verification of existing HVAC conditions, including climbing ladders
- Create plans and specifications for HVAC designs using AutoCAD and Revit
- Size HVAC equipment, ductwork and piping layouts
- HVAC load calculations
- Analysis of trend logs and datalogger data
- Utilize field test instruments to study existing building conditions
- Remote login to Building Automation Systems to review trends and analyze how HVAC systems are operating
- Create cost and energy analysis models
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, facility staff and project managers, to meet project goals
- Some travel will be required to client sites; however most days will be in the office
Skills
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit, plus Microsoft Word and Excel
- An associate degree in drafting, HVAC technology, or a related field
- Some HVAC experience is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Current driver’s license and access to a vehicle, mileage is reimbursable

- The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with an annual salary of $60,000+ depending on experience
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
