Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative
Lava Rock Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned urgent care veterinary hospital in St. George, Utah, and we are looking for a full/part-time Client Service Representative to join our team.
We are a busy, fast-paced hospital that sees scheduled appointments, urgent cases, and walk-ins. We are looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to stay calm and professional when things get busy.
Our reception team plays a vital role in both the client experience and the day-to-day flow of the hospital and patient care. You will be the first point of contact for our clients and work closely with our veterinary and technician teams to help keep the day running smoothly.
What you'll do:
- Greet clients and patients with compassion and professionalism
- Answer phones and assist clients with questions and scheduling
- Schedule appointments and help coordinate patient flow
- Check clients in and out and process payments accurately
- Communicate client concerns and urgent patient needs to the medical team
- Maintain accurate client and patient information
- Assist with client follow-up and general administrative tasks
- Help maintain a clean and welcoming front desk and lobby
- Work as part of the team and jump in where needed
What we're looking for:
- At least 1 year of customer service, receptionist, or front desk experience preferred
- Veterinary or medical reception experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling difficult or emotional situations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Dependable, positive, and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks
- Comfortable learning new technology and computer systems
- Must be available for rotating weekends
