This regular, full-time position performs a variety of tasks that support the operations of the Laundry Department. Hours for this position are from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Load, operate, and unload laundry washers and dryers.
- Select proper washing formulas and temperature, material being processed and make sure preprogrammed cycles are followed.
- Remove spots from fabric as needed using the spotting board and required chemicals.
- Establish workflow priority or follow priority established by management in order to support entire laundry and clothing processing schedules.
- Re-pad and clean presses as needed and help to maintain clean work area.
- Sort dirty clothing, put in numerical order, hang clothing or store in designated location.

Move boxes, baskets, carts etc. within the building as required and assist in unloading and receiving deliveries to the building.
- Perform other duties as may be necessary which include but are not limited to Laundry Worker duties when needed.

Must be able to lift from 50 to 75 pounds.

Prior washer operation experience preferred.

Candidates must be customer service oriented, organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to work well with students, coworkers and staff. Ability to work well as part of a team.

Able to stand, walk, stoop, bend and carry laundry items at least 5 hours per day to perform the responsibilities of a Washroom Operator.
