Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic nail application, and nail extensions with precision and care
- Apply color theory principles to recommend suitable nail polish shades and designs that complement clients’ styles and preferences
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation and disinfection procedures to ensure a hygienic environment
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide recommendations, and enhance their overall experience
- Upsell retail products related to nail care, skin care, and body waxing to boost client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of workstations and tools according to disinfection procedures
- Stay updated on the latest trends in nail art, techniques such as dermabrasion or esthetic laser treatments, and industry best practices
Skills
- Strong knowledge of color theory to create personalized nail designs and art
- Proficiency in applying various nail enhancements including acrylics, gel nails, and nail extensions
- Experience performing pedicures, manicures, and other nail care treatments with attention to detail
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols, sanitation standards, and disinfection procedures to ensure client safety
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients
- Background in the beauty industry with experience in esthetic treatments like eyelash extensions or body waxing is a plus
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently while providing professional advice on nail care routines
- Knowledge of retail math for effective product recommendations and sales strategies
- Basic understanding of hair styling or hair extensions is advantageous but not required
