Overview:
We are seeking individuals to sample and sell Boar’s Head items in local grocers throughout the Lowcountry. The Sampling/Brand Ambassador position will interact and introduce customers to our products; through in-store events and food sampling with an emphasis on brand awareness while building customer loyalty. Must be dependable and comfortable engaging with customers.
Job Description:Essential Functions
- Promote, sell and inform of Boar’s Head Brand premium delicatessen products by engaging consumers through product sampling.
- Actively promote by educating consumers on flavor, nutritional information, and complimentary products.
- Must have excellent time management skills, be organized, friendly, and like to sell.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be dependable, and motivated.
- Complete additional activities or special projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Must be engaging with customers and possess good communication and customer service skills.
Experience in sales and product promotions.
Experience in Food (deli, food preparation & slicing machine) and Merchandising.
Must have an outgoing, courteous and positive attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Keep work area neat and clean; exhibit good food safety and sanitation practices at all times
- Ability to operate a slicer (will provide training)
- Must have own transportation and be willing to travel to different retail locations within assigned area throughout Savannah, Bluffton, Beaufort and Hilton Head.
- Ability to transport and set up a folding table, utensils, platters, etc.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 40 lbs.; push or pull objects up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work in a refrigerated/freezer environment
- Must have an internet-enabled cell phone
- The ability to work independently while visiting various retail locations.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
