Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mixer Driver/Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy construction machinery, including concrete mixers, dump trucks, excavators, loaders, and paving equipment. Your expertise will ensure the smooth delivery and placement of materials such as concrete, asphalt, and rebar on civil infrastructure projects. Your hands-on mechanical knowledge and experience with construction site operations will be key to delivering high-quality results efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate concrete mixers, dump trucks, excavators, loaders, and paving equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Maintain and perform routine inspections and minor repairs on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Transport materials such as concrete, asphalt, rebar, and other aggregates to various project locations following safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Assist with concrete forming, finishing, pumping, and screeding activities to achieve precise pavement surfaces and structural elements.
- Support rebar installation and other reinforcement tasks necessary for structural integrity during paving or foundation work.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, site hazards, and material handling to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Collaborate with project managers and crew members to coordinate the delivery of materials and execution of tasks in line with project timelines.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as mixers, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and paving equipment in a civil infrastructure setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with safety regulations governing commercial vehicle operation and heavy equipment use on construction sites.
- Hands-on experience working on asphalt paving, concrete finishing, pumping, screeding, rebar installation, and concrete forming processes.
- Prior involvement in large-scale civil projects involving concrete work or infrastructure development is highly preferred.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record is required for transporting materials between sites.
- Knowledge of construction site safety standards including OSHA regulations is essential for maintaining a safe work environment.
