Duties
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a calming and reassuring environment
- Assist patients with daily activities such as mobility, positioning, and personal hygiene under supervision
- Monitor patient safety by observing for signs of distress or discomfort and reporting concerns promptly
- Support patients during hospital transfers or critical care transport, ensuring safe and smooth movements
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient needs and provide updates on patient comfort levels
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and hospital policies
- Document patient interactions and observations accurately in compliance with healthcare standards
Experience
- Prior experience in home care or community care settings is highly desirable
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations
- Experience working with patients in hospital or critical care environments enhances your ability to respond effectively
- Familiarity with patient care procedures and hospital protocols is advantageous
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
