Seeking a full time Assistant Preschool Teacher. Center hours: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
- Design and follow a full lesson plan using The Creative Curriculum.
- Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc.) to enhance the child’s abilities
- Track children's developmental milestones using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire
- Assess children's progress using Teaching Strategies Gold (now known as SmartTeach)
- Collaborate with colleagues
Skills
- Proven experience as a child care provider/teacher
- Excellent knowledge of child development & current education methods
- Patience, flexibility and love for children
- Strong communication and time management skills
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
- To be responsible for all aspects of caring for & educating young children.
- Being aware of all safety/health issues related to caring for young children
- Hours of operation are 7:30 - 5:30 M-F.
MUST HAVE:
- High School Diploma.
- Valid background check.
- Must be enrolled in Idaho STARS within 30 days from date of hire.
- Current pediatric first aid/CPR and Infant/Child CPR.
- Strong communication skills through written, verbal and digital means.
PREFERRED:
- CDA (Child Development Assoc. Degree). or education in related field.
- Experience &/or Empathy with persons living in poverty.
- Experience with Giraffe Laugh ELC & their values and mission.
- Experience with Quality Achievers in IdahoStars RISE.
