About the Role
The 3rd Grade Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction with a strong emphasis on literacy, writing, and mathematical thinking.
This teacher plays a critical role in ensuring students build a strong academic foundation while developing the habits, confidence, and curiosity needed for long-term success.
This role reports to the Head of School and works closely with the instructional team to support student growth.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Excellence

Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction grounded in Spartan Prime standards

Implement strong literacy practices aligned to the Science of Reading

Provide explicit, systematic instruction in reading, writing, and math

Use high-quality curriculum with fidelity while adapting to meet student needs

Create opportunities for students to think deeply, problem solve, and engage in meaningful learning
Data-Driven Instruction

Use assessment data (including NWEA MAP and classroom data) to guide instruction

Identify student needs and adjust instruction to ensure growth for all learners

Provide targeted support through small groups and differentiated instruction
Classroom Culture

Build a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment

Develop strong relationships with students rooted in trust and accountability

Foster a sense of belonging where all students feel known and valued
