Construction Attorney
Location: Greenville, SC (Hybrid)
Salary: $150,000-$230,000

A well-regarded boutique law firm in Greenville is seeking a Construction Attorney to support its growing construction and commercial litigation practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who enjoys working closely with clients, taking ownership of sophisticated matters, and building a long-term career within a collaborative boutique firm environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage construction-related matters from inception through resolution, including litigation, arbitration, mediation, and contract disputes
- Represent owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and other construction industry participants
- Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts and related project documentation
- Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
- Advise clients on risk management, project disputes, delays, defect claims, payment disputes, mechanic’s liens, and other construction-related issues
- Develop case strategies and provide practical, business-focused legal counsel
- Work directly with clients while collaborating closely with partners and support staff
Candidate Profile:
- 2–10 years of experience in construction law, commercial litigation, or a related practice area
- Experience handling construction disputes, contract negotiations, and/or construction defect matters
- Ability to independently manage matters while working effectively within a team-oriented environment
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Admission to the South Carolina Bar is required; admission in neighboring jurisdictions is a plus
- Prior experience representing contractors, developers, owners, or design professionals is preferred
