Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Laser Engraving Technician to join our 1st shift production team. This position is responsible for operating and learning a variety of industrial laser systems used to create deep laser engravings, laser markings, and decorative artwork on metal products.
Our work includes producing intricate artistic imagery, scrollwork, logos, text, and custom designs on firearm components, commemorative plaques, cannons, and other specialty products manufactured from stainless steel, carbon steel, brass, aluminum, and other materials.
This is not a simple machine operator position. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with computers and technology, eager to learn specialized processes, and committed to producing high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail.
Essential Responsibilities
- Operate industrial laser engraving and laser marking equipment.
- Prepare, load, unload, and inspect parts throughout the production process.
- Follow job travelers, work instructions, production schedules, and quality requirements.
- Verify artwork placement, engraving depth, marking quality, and overall appearance of finished products.
- Prioritize and manage multiple jobs simultaneously while meeting production deadlines.
- Adapt to changing schedules, priorities, and customer requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Maintain accurate production records and job documentation.
- Perform routine equipment setup, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status, quality concerns, and scheduling changes.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions and job travelers.
- Comfortable using computers and learning specialized software.
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized while managing multiple priorities.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently after training.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing production needs.
- Manufacturing, machining, laser operation, engraving, CNC, graphics, or technical production experience is beneficial but not required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience with computer-based equipment or technical software.
- Familiarity with quality inspection practices and precision work.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour
