We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our construction and manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including pipe systems, sprinkler installations, and structural frameworks, utilizing a variety of welding techniques. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to quality workmanship in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding on various materials in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
- Execute pipe threading, tube bending, pipe installation, and fire sprinkler fitting tasks following ASME codes & standards and NFPA standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other mechanical equipment safely and effectively during fabrication and assembly processes.
- Interpret technical schematics for HVAC systems, plumbing, pipeline construction, and maintenance projects.
- Assist in rigging operations for lifting heavy components safely on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations by adhering to proper power tool safety protocols and ensuring a hazard-free work environment.
- Support the installation of sprinkler systems and fire protection equipment according to industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret construction plans accurately and execute tasks efficiently.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance throughout projects.
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques; experience with welding preferred.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, pipe installation, tube bending, soldering, and plumbing systems.
- Familiarity with NFPA standards for fire sprinkler fitting and fire protection systems.
- Experience working on construction sites or manufacturing environments involving pipeline or HVAC systems.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools safely—such as calipers—and interpret technical measurements.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to piping and pressure vessels; understanding of schematics for complex assemblies.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
- Understanding of rigging procedures for lifting heavy components securely at construction or manufacturing sites.
- Commitment to safety regulations including power tool safety protocols; awareness of OSHA guidelines related to welding and construction activities.
