Back office medical assistant with medical scribing skills sought for a private Family Practice in East Mesa that offers an excellent work environment with a nice clientele. We are currently hiring an experienced, compassionate, dependable, individual to room patients and assist with scribing the medical notes. Hours are Monday-Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8-noon.
Skills/Abilities: MA, LPN, Pre-Med, or Pre-PA/NP with B.S. degree
·Experience working the medical field and/or as a Medical Scribe
· EMR experience, Knowledge of medical terms, eClinicalWorks a PLUS
· Demonstrate well-defined organizational and time management skills
· Reliable attendance and broad knowledge of medical terminology required
Pleasant personality with ability to interact with patients ages 2-99 requested
Duties include but not limited to:
· Rooming patients
· Vitals, order labs, prepare prescriptions
· Medical History/Scribing Progress Notes
· Set up for minor office procedures
· Injections/Immunizations
· Call backs with lab results, messages
· Prescription refills, Prior Authorizations and Referrals
This is a desirable position for pre-med or pre-PA students who have completed or are nearly finished with their BS degree and are applying and waiting to begin Medical School or a PA program. All of the doctor's scribes have gone on to medical or PA school with this experience being a strong point on their resume. This is not just a summer job, rather an opportunity for pre-med individuals to gain further experience in the medical field.
