As PNW's Foreman, you will serve as both a productive technician and the day-to-day leader of the shop floor. Your role is to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the high standards expected at PNW Automotive while developing the team around you.
Our Foreman position requires balancing production with leadership. You are expected to remain billable (25-35hrs) per week while providing technical guidance, managing workflow, coaching team members, and supporting shop operations. Your success will be measured not only by your own performance, but by the performance and growth of the entire team. You'll have clear goals, and a clear picture of what success is, and clear baselines for earning tiered bonuses. (Pay posted is base pay not including bonus pay)
At PNW you'll:
- Perform diagnostic and repair work while maintaining strong personal productivity.
- Direct daily shop workflow by assigning work based on technician skill level, training opportunities, shop priorities, and customer needs.
- Coach and mentor technicians to improve diagnostic ability, repair quality, efficiency, and confidence.
- Evaluate technician performance and work with management to develop individual training and growth plans.
- Support hiring efforts by participating in interviews and evaluating technical candidates.
- Address performance concerns professionally through coaching, accountability, and constructive feedback.
- Monitor shop productivity, quality, and efficiency while helping remove obstacles that prevent technicians from succeeding.
- Track and support shop goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and overall production capacity.
- Learn new diagnostic procedures, repair techniques, and industry advancements, then train and develop the rest of the team on those skills.
- Lead by example through professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Complete Foreman Certification or provide a copy of your current Foreman training and certification.
You will be both a leader and a contributor to your PNW Team. You will set the standard for technical excellence, teamwork, accountability, and professionalism with your awesomeness. Your leadership will create an environment where technicians continue to improve, customers receive exceptional service, and the shop operates efficiently every day.
