Why does the job exist?
This position is responsible to receive/verify all dietary supplies received and matching against requisitions using receiving reports to ensure accurateness. Ensure that the facility does not receive more/less than expected and inform supervisor immediately.
How does it get done?
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. Maintain dry storage area and label dietary supplies. Store food/supplies in containers and in the proper storage areas. Demonstrate knowledge of infection control, sanitation, and licensing/certification standards when receiving/distributing food supplies for quality and safety. Date, label, and rotate stock with first in/last out method. Conduct monthly inventory recording physical counts, assist with reconciliation, and submit data to food production manager. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification
No prior experience or training required.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a NM Driver's License.
Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
Working Conditions
This position will perform work primarily in a kitchen setting with exposure to high and low temperatures from ovens and freezers. Standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching above head and shoulders as well as the ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds is required. Incumbent may be exposed to minor physical harm such as cuts from knives, kitchen machinery and other kitchen equipment. Effective 01/01/2015, the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became a 100% Tobacco Free/E-Cigarette Free Campus. As such, no tobacco, tobacco products or E-Cigarette products are permitted on any part of the campus.
