Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a nurturing learning environment that supports the developmental needs of young children. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and communicating effectively with parents to promote child growth and learning. Experience in preschool, daycare, or private school settings, along with a strong understanding of childhood development principles, is essential. The Teacher will play a vital role in supporting children's educational and social-emotional development through innovative teaching strategies and compassionate care.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and physical education components
- Plan and execute engaging lessons that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Monitor and assess individual child progress through observations and standardized testing when applicable
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding child progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies
- Incorporate special education strategies or early intervention techniques when necessary
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop school-wide programs and participate in staff meetings and professional development activities
- Support children with diverse needs, including toddlers or children requiring additional support such as special education or early intervention services
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare policies, and health & safety standards such as first aid and CPR certification
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering a nurturing environment
- Experience with Montessori methods or specialized educational approaches is a plus
- Skills in behavior management, classroom organization, and student assessment tools
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood education or preschool settings
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for children with diverse learning needs or special education requirements

Pay: $14.00 - $16.50 per hour
