Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed structural designs for buildings, and other infrastructure using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
- Perform comprehensive structural analysis utilizing advanced analysis tools such as Mathcad, FEAs (Finite Element Analysis), and other structural engineering practices to ensure stability and safety.
- Conduct building code compliance assessments and analyze construction regulations to guarantee adherence throughout project phases.
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation to support design decisions and facilitate clear communication with clients and regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate on project scheduling and management to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Review geotechnical reports and integrate geotechnical engineering principles into system design for foundations and earthworks.
- Support construction activities by providing technical guidance on steel, concrete, masonry, and other structural materials; oversee site inspections for quality assurance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in structural design for commercial or residential buildings with a strong understanding of building code analysis and construction regulations.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and other BIM platforms.
- Hands-on experience with structural analysis tools including Mathcad, FEAs, and other relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of steel structural design, concrete structural design, masonry structural design, and system design principles.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies including project scheduling and technical writing skills for documentation purposes.
- Construction experience is highly desirable to understand on-site challenges and practical implementation of designs.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles related to geotechnical engineering, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and building information modeling (BIM).
Pay: $82,781.34 - $99,693.66 per year
