Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced 1099 Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This role demands a proactive leader who can coordinate multiple teams, manage schedules, ensure safety compliance, and deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess extensive construction site experience, strong management skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction management software and technical drawings. As a key driver of project success, you will foster collaboration among subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to create a seamless construction process that exceeds client expectations.
Duties
- Lead daily operations on the construction site, supervising crews and subcontractors to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction scheduling tools to ensure timely project delivery.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to verify accuracy and facilitate smooth workflow.
- Enforce OSHA safety regulations and federal construction safety standards, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions to uphold a zero-accident environment.
- Monitor quality control procedures, ensuring all work meets industry standards and client requirements through rigorous inspections.
- Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Request for Information), and daily logs to maintain transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing commercial construction projects with a strong background in civil or building construction environments.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, or equivalent tools for scheduling, estimating, and project tracking.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively while managing multiple subcontractors and vendors on complex projects.
- Strong managerial communication skills with the ability to coordinate project schedules and manage crews efficiently.
- Experience with construction site safety management practices including OSHA compliance inspections.
Pay: $75,360.23 - $110,000.00 per year
