Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for a Dump Truck position for our Virginia SMA Construction operations in Staunton, VA . The successful candidate for this role will be motivated, and have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
The Construction Dump Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a dump truck to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, asphalt, sand, rock, and construction debris to and from job sites. This role supports road construction, site development, and utility projects by ensuring timely, efficient, and safe material hauling. Would prefer drivers with a HazMat endorsement, have a strong safety focus, demonstrate reliable driving skills, and assist crews as needed on site.

- Wages starting at $18.00/hr.
- Higher pay offered for experienced multi-craft maintenance professionals.

Job Responsibilities:
- Operate dump trucks (single‑axle, tandem, or tri‑axle depending on fleet) to haul materials to and from job sites.
- Load, haul, and dump materials safely and accurately.
- Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections; document and report any defects.
- Follow designated haul routes, speed limits, and onsite traffic control.
- Use proper dumping techniques to avoid damage or unsafe conditions.
- Communicate effectively with equipment operators, laborers, and foremen.
- Assist with spotting, backing, or material placement when needed.
- Maintain clean truck beds, tarps, and equipment.
- Check fluid levels, tires, lights, brakes, and other safety components daily.
- Keep truck clean and perform basic upkeep or minor troubleshooting.
- Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and work zone safety procedures.
- Wear required PPE and stay alert around moving machinery and traffic.
- Complete necessary logs, tickets, delivery receipts, and load documentation.
- Comply with state and federal DOT regulations, including weight limits and hours‑of‑service rules.
Report incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions promptly.
