Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of cranes and heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring efficient and safe lifting and moving of materials. The Crane Operator will play a crucial role in the success of our projects by collaborating with site managers and other crew members to meet project timelines and maintain safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Safely lift, move, and position materials as directed.
- Collaborate with ground crew members to ensure clear communication during lifting operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks associated with crane operation.
- Along with the dispatcher, complete the work order daily noting any additional chargeable equipment utilized on the job.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Current crane operating certifications (NCCCO or OECP).
- Familiarity with various types of heavy machinery.
- Valid state issued driving license (CDL - A required).
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to crane operation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining focus on individual responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve lifting or moving heavy materials.
Pay rate is based upon currently bargained rates.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.65 - $42.40 per hour
