JOB This is full-time, hourly position that reports to a Crew Leader, or designee. The position performs unskilled and limited semi-skilled manual work in the performance of laboring tasks and a variety of construction and maintenance work. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential Job Functions:

Road repairs (asphalt, limerock, etc.). Installs road signs. Clears trees, brush, and vegetation from roadside. Removes and installs concrete.

Loads and unloads heavy material from trucks. Moves equipment and large bulky objects. Performs custodial duties.

Flags traffic on roads under repair.

Maintains grounds. Rakes grass and water plants. Weeds flower beds. Shapes hedges and trims trees. Cuts grass. Plants and fertilizes flowers. May operate tractor-mower in mowing grass on right-of-way on a training basis.

Loads trash on truck. Unloads trash and other material. Picks up boxes and other materials left by residents.

Performs repair to equipment. Digs ditches.

Operates gasoline or other powered machinery such as cement mixers, air hammers, compressors, pumping machinery, saws and etc.

Performs manual laboring tasks as assigned.

Required to assist with emergency support functions (ESF) during emergencies or other related emergency duties.
