We're looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager & Office Administrator to become a key member of our leadership team.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and has a strong background in Human Resources, employment law, employee relations, and office administration. The successful candidate will help shape our workplace culture while ensuring compliance with employment laws and supporting the continued growth of our organization.
What You'll Do
As our Human Resources Manager & Office Administrator, you'll oversee the day-to-day HR functions of the business while managing many of the administrative operations that keep our company running smoothly.
Human Resources Responsibilities
- Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR records with strict confidentiality
- Administer employee benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, leave administration, and open enrollment
- Ensure compliance with federal, Washington State, and local employment laws and regulations
- Interpret and administer company policies and employee handbook provisions
- Advise leadership on employee relations matters and workplace investigations
- Coordinate performance management processes and employee development initiatives
- Assist with disciplinary actions, coaching documentation, and conflict resolution
- Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, FMLA, PFML, ADA, workers' compensation, unemployment, and other employment regulations
- Coordinate required workplace trainings and compliance reporting
- Manage OSHA and workplace safety documentation and HR compliance programs
Office Administration Responsibilities
- Oversee daily administrative operations of the office
- Coordinate office supplies, vendor relationships, and administrative systems
- Prepare reports, maintain confidential records, and support ownership and management
- Assist with special projects and process improvements
- Support department managers with administrative and HR-related needs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience (5+ years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Washington State and federal employment laws
- Experience administering employee benefits
- Experience handling employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
