nLogic is seeking a Help Desk Analyst I to join our team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing (HPC) Modernization Program (DoD HPCMP) and U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) DoD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC) located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The successful candidate will serve as a Tier 1 Help Desk technician for HPC engineering and operations.
Responsibilities will include providing timely and accurate response to HPC user questions and trouble tickets using the HPC Help Desk ticketing system. The successful candidate will field user inquiries via phone, email, and directly in the HPC Help Desk ticketing system while supporting the 24/7 User Support team.
Required Education and Experience
- Typically, a High School Diploma and 4 years of work experience or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills and Education
- Experience in various HPC systems, various HPC technologies:
- Cray/Cray EX, IBM, SGI, Penguin, or custom architectures
- Linux variants OS
- InfiniBand (IB), Intel Omni-Path interconnects
- Portable Branch Systems (PBS), Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management (SLURM), or IBM Platform Load Sharing Facility (LSF) schedulers
- Intel Xeon, AMD EPYC, or ARM CPUs
- Nvidia graphic processing units (GPU)s
- ITIL Foundation
Work Conditions
- Work Model: Onsite
- Travel: Minimal
- Work Hours: Willingness to work primarily first shift (0700 - 1500 EST) with flexibility to support weekends, holidays, and alternate schedules as required to meet mission needs.
