Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Toddler Teacher (8:30 - 5:30) for our 2-Year-Old Classroom. As a nurturing and experienced educator, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and engaging learning environment for toddlers, fostering their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Implementation:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the daycare's curriculum.
- Foster a love for learning through creative and interactive activities.
- Child Guidance:
- Provide a supportive and nurturing atmosphere to encourage positive behavior.
- Address the individual needs and developmental milestones of each child.
- Implement positive discipline strategies to encourage self-regulation.
- Communication:
- Maintain open communication with parents, sharing daily updates and addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues and attend staff meetings to ensure a cohesive educational approach.
- Safety and Hygiene:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of toddlers in the classroom.
- Implement proper hygiene routines, including diaper changing, potty training, and teaching self-help skills.
- Environment Enhancement:
- Create a stimulating and organized classroom environment that promotes exploration and discovery.
- Utilize age-appropriate materials to facilitate learning through play.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with toddlers in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
