Role Overview
The Recreational Therapist designs and implements evidence-based therapeutic interventions to promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being. Services are delivered directly to individuals across diverse environments, including private homes, nursing facilities, and community centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess client functional capabilities, limitations, and personal goals to establish baseline needs.
- Develop, execute, and adapt individualized treatment plans that enhance independent functioning and overall quality of life.
- Engage clients in targeted, purposeful activities designed to facilitate clinical outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and modify programs based on ongoing clinical assessments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a closely related field.
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential preferred.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage a flexible community-based schedule, and navigate diverse environments.
- Clear, objective communication skills for professional collaboration and client engagement.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
