Clipper Construction is a Commercial General Contracting firm providing construction services across several verticals including retail/office fit-out, adaptive reuse, historical restoration and mixed-use development.

Responsibilities
- Build working relationships with project staff and Subcontractors.
- Interface with customers to answer any technical questions about the project with support of General Superintendent.
- Hold pre-construction planning meetings with subcontractors to review the overall site safety program and job hazard analysis for their scope of work, and ensure plans are in place to mitigate risks.
- Maintain close communication with Subcontractors and keep them updated on scheduling changes
- Hold daily stand ups with Subcontractors and relay updates to the Project Manager
- Ensure quality of trade work being conducted and hold subcontractors accountable.
- Identify necessary change orders and communicate these to the Project Manager.
- Be an expert in reading and understanding blueprints and be able to clearly communicate these plans to customers, subcontractors, and project staff.
- Ensure proper pre-planning for all activities and tasks for subcontractors and trades.
- Work with General Superintendent and project management to coordinate the scheduling, ordering, and delivery of materials at necessary junctures during construction.
- Be available to Subcontractors throughout the workday to answer questions.
- Meet Inspectors at the jobsite and answer their questions in regards to the permits.
- Contribute to the development of the project safety procedures and the superintendent procedure manual.
- Enforce safety procedures and related policies and procedures and implement immediate corrective actions in accordance with Clipper Construction, Federal, State and Local regulations and owner requirements.
- Maintain close communication with the Project Manager in order to maintain a clear understanding of project objectives, milestone progress, cost concerns, and issues that may cause schedule delays.
- Evaluate training needs and make recommendations to subcontractors.
- Assist in identifying and recruiting quality subcontractors for future projects.
Strong Preference
- Experience running commercial projects between $500k - $2.5m in scope
- Experience with work in Baltimore city and surrounding areas
- Ability to read blueprints and translate specification to clear tasking for Subcontractors

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
