American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active IL RN license and EPIC charting experience.

Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule from 1:00PM-1:00AM
-
36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
-
Every other weekend required
-
Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
-
Requires 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period, with expectation to be onsite within an hour of call
-
2-week nights rotation required of all travelers
-
No block scheduling available

Uses EPIC EMR system
-
Active Illinois RN license in good standing
-
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
-
Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
-
ASN required, BSN preferred
-
EPIC charting experience required
-
Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred
-
TNCC certification highly preferred
-
Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Emergency Department setting
-
Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families

Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
-
Collaborate with healthcare team members to promote a safe and healing environment
-
Report and correct safety hazards to ensure patient and staff safety
-
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
-
RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
