JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Civils General Construction professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of civil construction tasks across diverse projects, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency at every stage. The candidate will be required to meet at our main location in Driftwood TX (south of Austin) on a daily basis to then deploy to work sites in the Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston and surrounding areas. Have to be able to work out of town as required. Our clients include companies such as Verizon, T-Mobile, Boost, AT&T and Google. The candidate must live in or around the Austin area (prefer within an hour of the shop) and have reliable transportation. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of the construction industry, civil construction and concrete work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment, materials and supplies needed for daily work.
- Operate tamps, jackhammers, core drills, concrete saws, and other construction equipment.
- Install site ground rings, perform site excavation, form/pour concrete pads, footings for telecom equipment, tower foundation installation including monopoles, self supports and guy towers.
- Hand dig when necessary with shovels, picks, digging bars to install utilities inside compounds, access u/g vaults and pedestals, and complete trenches.
- Place conduit and/or cables in trenches, splice conduits sections, place anchors, pedestals, vaults, etc. to complete construction tasks.
- Fully restore worksite at completion of work, refill trenches and holes, tamp soil, replant any plants or shrubs that were disturbed during construction, place temporary asphalt on streets where excavations have been performed.
- When required and if appropriately licensed and authorized, drive or operate construction equipment used on the jobsite to complete daily work assignments such as skid steer, mini-x, rolling machine, forklift and skytracks.
- Clean and maintain all company vehicles and equipment assigned for use.
- Capable of working in all temperatures and climates.
- Able to perform physical tasks for the entire assigned work shift.
- Follow safety procedures/policies diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adhere to site safety standards, complete Job Safety Analysis etc.
- Other duties may be assigned consistent with job description.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED required
- Previous experience and knowledge of underground utility construction a must
- Ability to operate all equipment safely and productively
- Knowledge and understanding of reading drawings and ability to follow specifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with crew, leadership, and clients
- Valid Driver’s License
- OSHA 10 Certification, OSHA 30 a plus
- Current CPR Certification
- Function effectively as an integral part of a team
- Must be able to meet physical demands of the position
- Work safely in all conditions
- Possess knowledge of Industry standard safe working practices
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Must be available to travel to various sites as required in and outside of TX

- Construction: 3-5 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required, must be Texas DL within 30 days of hire)
- OSHA 10/30 (Preferred, can help attain once hired)
- CPR Certification (Preferred, can help attain once hired)
Pay: $18.00 - $36.00 per hour
