Job Description:
A+ Enterprises is looking for a reliable and hardworking General Maintenance Technician to join our team. We manage a large portfolio of residential properties across Northwest Indiana, and we need someone who can handle day-to-day maintenance, respond quickly to issues, and take pride in keeping properties in great condition.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs
- Handle work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Troubleshoot and fix maintenance issues across multiple properties
- Prepare units for new tenants (turnovers, cleaning, minor renovations)
- Conduct property inspections and identify needed repairs
- Coordinate with vendors when needed
- Maintain tools, equipment
- Ensure all work is completed safely and up to code
Requirements:
- Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication and professionalism with tenants and team
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various conditions
Preferred (but not required):
- HVAC certification or experience
- Experience in property management maintenance
- Basic appliance repair knowledge
