Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager with HUD (Housing and Urban Development) experience to lead and oversee multifaceted construction project from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate all phases of construction, ensuring projects meet strict HUD guidelines, budgets, and schedules. Your expertise will drive project success by managing teams, contractors, and stakeholders while maintaining a focus on quality, safety, and compliance. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects with a focus on HUD-funded developments
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to align project goals and specifications
- Oversee construction estimating processes, including cost analysis and budget management using HeavyBid or comparable tools
- Review blueprints, schematics, contracts, and construction documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with HUD standards
- Monitor construction site activities for safety, quality control, and adherence to project timelines
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation, progress tracking, and communication
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, resolve issues promptly, and ensure adherence to all federal regulations and HUD guidelines
- Manage project scope changes, contract negotiations, and change orders effectively
- Facilitate project coordination meetings to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned on project milestones
Experience
- Proven experience managing mid size construction projects within the public housing or HUD-funded sector
- Extensive knowledge of HUD regulations, compliance standards, and federal funding requirements for housing projects
- Demonstrated proficiency in construction estimating tools like HeavyBid and project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Primavera
- Strong background in civil engineering principles with experience reading blueprints, schematics, and contracts
- Hands-on construction site experience with a solid understanding of safety protocols and quality assurance practices
- Familiarity with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Construction management software platforms, and project coordination tools
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting project updates clearly
