SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The host/hostess welcomes guests with a smile and seats them according to their requests, maintains seating chart and monitors flow to ensure restaurant is full, and maintains cleanliness of the lobby and restrooms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Greets guests, manages wait times, and coordinates seating with urgency and friendliness while leading a welcoming lobby experience in accordance with Outback hospitality standards.
2. Smiles and has genuine conversations with guests.
3. Makes memorable first and last impressions.
4. Ensures lobby area is properly set up for each service, to include keeping trash bins, dining and surrounding areas clean.
5. Follows directions by board runner and Manager on Duty (MOD).
6. Provides children with crayons and coloring books.
7. Wipes and rolls silverware.
8. Performs additional duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is in a restaurant setting, exposure to extreme temperatures (above 140 degrees / below 40 degrees), various food items, and a loud environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Able to move quickly with urgency.
2. Able to bend at the waist and lift items up to 25 lbs. to waist level.
3. Able to move items up to 25 lbs. for distance of up to 25 feet.
4. Able to remain standing and active for an 8-12 hour shift.
5. Able to hear, understand and respond to guest need and requests in a loud environment.
