Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both automotive painting, with expertise in various techniques and materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Lead Painter will be responsible for overseeing painting projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate painting projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements
- Estimate materials and labor costs for projects
- Train and mentor other painters on best practices and safety protocols
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Experience
- *Proven experience in automotive painting is a REQUIREMENT
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively
- Maintenance Person experience is a plus
