Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, medical procedures, and healthcare documentation, with a passion for delivering exceptional nursing services across diverse clinical settings. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders and established protocols.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient care activities comprehensively.
- Perform specialized procedures including IV infusion, suturing, catheterization, and tube feeding with aseptic technique.
- Monitor patients' responses to treatments, manage acute pain, and escalate care when necessary in emergency or critical care situations.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and update individualized care plans aligned with patient needs.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, medication administration, and post-discharge instructions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with NCQA standards.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license (RN) in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments including hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, long-term care, or assisted living facilities.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Experience performing critical care procedures including ventilator management and trauma medicine.
- Ability to handle complex patient cases involving infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health needs.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or specialized training in dialysis or ostomy care are preferred.
