Responsibilities
- Safely transport prepared food from the kitchen to designated tables or service areas, adhering to safe lifting practices and handling procedures.
- Assist with food preparation and plating as needed, supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Clear and bus tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the dining area.
- Support servers by delivering beverages, condiments, and additional orders promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene during all handling and serving processes.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate order delivery and guest needs.
- Assist with light cleaning duties, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring the dining area remains inviting.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential!
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when transporting food trays or supplies.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for processing orders efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with team members and guests.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic food preparation techniques.
- Experience in banquet service or hotel hospitality can be advantageous but is not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and guest satisfaction.
