Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current medications using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, verifying medication adherence, obtaining prior authorizations, scheduling MRIs, etc.
- Manage medical documentation accurately, including ICD coding, medical records management, and detailed notes on patient encounters.
- Attention to detail is of the utmost importance, along with prompt follow-up. Must be able to answer incoming calls directed towards your Provider and ensure that all requests are returned promptly.
- Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment and ensuring supplies are stocked for required procedures such as skin biopcies, and botox.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in clinical settings must have on the job experience.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and basic medical assisting techniques.
- Familiarity with authorizations, and scheduling of MRIs a must.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Must have three references available at time of interview.
- This position is Monday-Friday and requires the ability to be on site daily.
We are seeking to hire two Medical Assistants. Only serious applications will be considered. Must be able to provide date/times that would work for an in-person interview. References must be submitted at the time of the interview along with valid CMA certificate and BLS certiciate.
